Cub Cadet LTX1050 Deck Removal Procedure
Removing the Deck
- Place the PTO/Blade Engage knob in the disengaged (OFF) position and engage the parking brake.
- Lower the deck by moving the deck lift lever into the bottom notch on the right fender.
- Locate the PTO Belt Guard under the front of your tractor. Remove the two (2) hex screws that secure the PTO belt guard using a 1/2” socket. There’s one bolt on each side of the front of the tractor.
- Remove the PTO Belt Guard.
- Using a 9/16" socket, remove the belt by torqueing the idler arm then dropping the belt from the clutch.
- Locate and pull the deck support pin outward to release the deck from the lift arm on the left side of the tractor.
- Locate and pull the deck support to the right side of the tractor.
- Move the deck lift lever into the top notch to raise the deck lift arm up and out of the way.
- Remove the cotter pin from the stabilizer rod found at the front of the tractor underneath.
- Pull the stabilizer rod through the front of the tractor to remove it.
- Slide the deck out from underneath the tractor.
