Cub Cadet LTX1050 Deck Removal Procedure

Removing the Deck

  1. Place the PTO/Blade Engage knob in the disengaged (OFF) position and engage the parking brake.
  2. Lower the deck by moving the deck lift lever into the bottom notch on the right fender.
  3. Locate the PTO Belt Guard under the front of your tractor. Remove the two (2) hex screws that secure the PTO belt guard using a 1/2” socket. There’s one bolt on each side of the front of the tractor.
  1. Remove the PTO Belt Guard.
  2. Using a 9/16" socket, remove the belt by torqueing the idler arm then dropping the belt from the clutch.
  1. Locate and pull the deck support pin outward to release the deck from the lift arm on the left side of the tractor.
  1. Locate and pull the deck support to the right side of the tractor.
  2. Move the deck lift lever into the top notch to raise the deck lift arm up and out of the way.
  1. Remove the cotter pin from the stabilizer rod found at the front of the tractor underneath.
  1. Pull the stabilizer rod through the front of the tractor to remove it.
  1. Slide the deck out from underneath the tractor.
